Our Short Haul Driver Log | SHL1 template provides a simple pre-dated format in a compact page size. Subsequently, you can use this form as more than just a log to record duty status. It can also be used as a time record in certain instances. Canadian carriers that operate exclusively within 160 kilometres of their home terminal aren’t required by Canadian law to provide detailed driver’s daily log documentation provided that they return to their home terminal to begin a minimum of 8 consecutive hours of off-duty time. However, drivers are obligated to keep accurate time records of their on-duty time for each calendar day – which is where radius records (also referred to as short haul logs) come into play.
